Transitioning to Solar Power in South Sudan’s Hospitals
In South Sudan, a business partner has installed a solar system in a private hospital, replacing the use of expensive fuel-powered generators. Many rural hospitals in the region still rely on generators but are unable to afford the rising fuel costs, resulting in limited usage. Our solar power system eliminates the burden on batteries and allows for high power output, making it a potential solution for other hospitals as well. South Sudan, with its ample sunlight, is ideal for solar power generation. Surprisingly, most public facilities, including hospitals, have not yet adopted solar power, contrary to our initial expectations. Our goal is to promote the widespread adoption of efficient solar systems, aligning with the growth of African communities and society.
