At our company, we actively provide opportunities for African students visiting Japan through JICA’s ABE Initiative to learn about our products and technology. By utilizing JICA’s short-term internship program, we value encounters with talented individuals who may become future business partners.
Experiencing the Power of LED Lanterns
The first product we introduced during the internship was our LED lantern. While there are many LED lanterns available on the market, ours stands out in terms of “brightness” and “longevity.” This product is popular worldwide, and we had the students experience its brightness in a dark room.
The students enthusiastically shared their impressions:
- “With this, I can study and work safely at night.”
- “This brightness makes nighttime activities much more convenient.”

Introducing Our Innovative Solar System
Next, we introduced our innovative solar system.
Unlike conventional solar systems that require batteries to store energy before use, our technology provides direct power supply without the need for a battery.
Through demonstrations, we showcased its capabilities, including:
- Charging multiple mobile phones simultaneously
- Operating a large fan
- Powering a television
The students were intrigued, asking, “How is this different from the solar systems commonly seen in Africa?” Through hands-on experiments, they gained a clear understanding of the differences.
Key Features of Our Solar System
- Stable power supply without the need for batteries
- High-efficiency power generation even with limited sunlight
- Long lifespan and reduced maintenance costs

The Astonishing Water Purification System
Finally, we introduced our drinking water purification system.
We first recreated murky river water, simulating the conditions during the rainy season. Seeing the water, the students exclaimed, “There’s no way anyone can drink this!” with expressions of disbelief.
However, once the water passed through our purification system, it instantly turned clear.

Their reactions were priceless:
- “I can’t believe it got this clean…!”
- “Can we really drink this?”
After hesitantly taking a sip, they were astonished:
- “Wow! It tastes just like regular water!”
This system not only makes water clear but also removes viruses and bacteria, ensuring safe drinking water.
Toward Future Business Partnerships
Through this internship, ABE Initiative students gained a deep understanding of our technologies. We hope that when they return to their home countries, they will consider collaborating with us as business partners.
To further expand our business in Africa, we will continue to utilize JICA’s internship programs to build strong connections with promising talent.
Moving forward, we will keep challenging ourselves to become a bridge that connects Japan and Africa for a brighter future!
