From Charcoal to Clean Cooking: A Solar-Powered Induction Cooker Solution for Sub-Saharan Africa
As the world grapples with the increasing frequency of climate-related disasters, rural areas like Sub-Saharan Africa are bearing the brunt of the impact. While developed countries are taking steps towards decarbonization, it’s crucial to support developing nations in their efforts to transition to cleaner energy sources.
In response to this need, we were recently requested to demonstrate a solution for the use of induction cookers as an alternative to charcoal for cooking in Sub-Saharan Africa. In our demonstration, we utilized two battery-free solar power systems to operate a high-power induction cooker. These solar power systems can power high-output AC appliances without the need for batteries, making it possible to combine various electrical devices and facilitate problem-solving in areas with limited access to electricity.
Join us on this journey from charcoal to clean cooking, and let’s pave the way for a sustainable future.
