Now that’s what we call a showpiece!
Right at the entrance of the TICAD9 venue stood this jaw-dropping wooden structure.
Massive, bold, and yet somehow graceful—it looked like it was spreading its wings, ready to take off toward the future of Africa.
The design? Pure genius.
The warm wood texture and dynamic curves gave it a powerful presence. It was practically shouting,
“Let’s build the future of Africa together, starting right here!”
Naturally, everyone wanted a photo with it.
Standing in front of this sculpture, we couldn’t help but feel fired up:
“Alright, let’s do this—time to connect Japan and Africa!”
Bigger, busier, better than TICAD7!
Compared to TICAD7 back in 2019, TICAD9 feels even more lively.
We’ve seen a noticeable increase in both participating companies and visitors from across Africa.
There’s real momentum here.
You can feel the growing interest and commitment from everyone involved in building partnerships for Africa’s development.
Booth Setup? Leave it to the Aluminum Frame Crew!
No booth? No problem!
Our legendary aluminum frame team handled the entire booth construction.
They got right to work on day one, assembling everything with precision and speed.
The result? A stylish and functional booth, complete with two demo stands—
a clever layout to keep waiting times short and conversations flowing smoothly.
It’s the kind of setup only hands-on makers like us can pull off.

Meet Team TICAD!
We’re proud to say we’ve got a four-person powerhouse team representing us at TICAD9—
two from our company, and two amazing allies supporting us onsite.

Let’s introduce the dream team:
👨🔧 Joseph
Our rising star!
He completed a full technical internship with us last year and is now confidently explaining our solar and water purification systems like a pro.
Watching him work the booth makes us feel proud and inspired.
👩🎨 Ms. Inoue
A true veteran of Tanzania, where she lived and worked solo for years—and yes, she speaks fluent Swahili!
But wait, there’s more:
She’s also been a TV actress AND a Tinga Tinga artist in Tanzania.
Seriously, is there anything she hasn’t done?
She brings unmatched energy and warmth, welcoming booth visitors like old friends.
She lights up the space with her smile and charm.

👨💼 And last but not least, Matsumoto – our Africa project lead!
The master of details and coordination, Matsumoto ensures everything is running smoothly behind the scenes.
From schedules to troubleshooting to stakeholder follow-ups—he’s the glue that holds our field operations together.
Every team needs someone who sees everything coming. That’s Matsumoto.
🌍 Our surprise guest from Senegal!
He was instrumental in last year’s field survey in Senegal—we honestly couldn’t have done it without him.
And guess what? He’s back, joining us at TICAD9 as a last-minute but very welcome addition.
Reliable, passionate, and deeply rooted in local knowledge—just the kind of partner you want at your side.

Grateful for the connections
We were also part of TICAD7 back in 2019, and it’s amazing to see how those connections have grown and deepened.
Now, at TICAD9, we’re even more convinced:
